The other Mick

One guy 'Taylor-made' to play guitar

Back in 1969, when Rolling Stones founder Brian Jones was booted from his band, he was replaced by 21-year-old Mick Taylor. Taylor played on such famous Stones songs as "Tumbling Dice," "It's Only Rock 'N' Roll," "Angie," "Can't You Hear Me Knocking," "Brown Sugar," "Wild Horses," "Heartbreaker" and more. He left in December 1974 to be replaced by his friend, Ronnie Wood. Taylor still plays. But instead of in big arenas, he's in small bars with his Mick Taylor Band. On July 24, 1999, he was at Wilbert's in Cleveland, playing his classic stuff, a little Stones and music from "A Stone's Throw," his new CD. So we present, at least in pictures, the other Stone, the forgotten Stone, Mick Taylor.
